Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Horace Harvey and Janet Elizabeth Riley McKee. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and had attended Ware Shoals United Methodist Church. A graduate of Ware Shoals High, Class of 1980, he was retired from Eaton-Cuttler-Hammer of Greenwood. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and was an avid deer hunter. He was a former Scout Leader of Troop # 902, B.S.A.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry Cannon Mckee and their son, Matthew Allen McKee of the home. Three daughters, Monica Elizabeth Patterson (Donnie) of Fountain Inn, Holly Beth Taylor of Hodges, and Margo Celeste Powell (Daniel) of Marmeet, West Virginia, a brother, Tim McKee (Doris) of Rock Hill, four grandchildren, Alissa, Alex, Erin, and LaLa, six nieces and nephews, Tara, Ceiana, Todd, Sam, Aaron, and Brent, and numerous great nieces and nephews, and many extended family members.
