Born in Greenville he was a son of Betty Brown Barnett and the late David William Barnett, Sr. He was a member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church of Greenville. A graduate of Hillcrest High, Simpsonville he was a retired welder for Flour Daniel Construction Company.
Surviving are a his wife of the home, his mother of Mauldin, a son, Robert Barnett of Waterloo, a brother, David William Barnett, Jr. of Barnwell, and a sister, Delilah Goodwin of Moonville.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by a brother Jim Nathan Barnett
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Ware Shoals with Rev. Fred Finch officiating.
