Mrs. Rogers was born in Oconee County to the late William Glendol and Lula Bell Sweezy Hinton. She worked for many years in retail and management at Sky City and Walmart of Laurens and retired from The Emerald Center of Ware Shoals. She was a member of Ware Shoals Church of God.
Surviving are her children: Daniel M. Culbertson of Laurens, Donna Hampton of Laurens, Rhonda C. Culbertson (Brent) of Easley, and Kimberley C. Vaughn (Kent) of Simpsonville, a brother, Bobby Hinton of Ware Shoals, a stepson, Floyd Rogers of Statesboro, GA, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was predeceased by the father of her four children, Marcus G. Culbertson, a stepson, Frankie Rogers, a stepdaughter, Betty Ashley
and three brothers, Joe Hinton, Gordon Hinton, and Carl Hinton.
The family will gather at Parker-White Funeral Home on Friday, October 24 from 1:00-2:00 PM for visitation with Funeral Services held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Alex Henderson officiating. Internment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 536 Old Quaker Church Road, Laurens, SC 29360.
