Mrs. Dunn is survived by her husband Barry K. Dunn, Sr. for 49 wonderful years, her two children, Barry Keith Dunn, Jr. (Jessica) Honea Path, SC and their children Marshall, Campbell and John Robert; Jami Dunn Brantley (Dean), and their children Jenny Belle and Livi; her brother William F. “Bill” May, III, (Janae) and her sister Corrinna O’Bannon (Skipper); and special nieces and nephews.
Mama will always be remembered affectionately by all those who know her as their “Lulu”.
Since Cindy was greatly confined indoors due to her health, she developed quite a knack of growing orchids in her sun room where she has a beautiful orchid garden which is admired by all.
Mrs. Dunn was an active member of Greenville Presbyterian Church where she participated with the Presbyterian Women’s group and the Sojourners Sunday School class.
Mrs. Dunn was a graduate of Dixie High School and attended Piedmont Technical College. Cindy had a diversified working career. As she was considered a ”perfectionist” by her family and peers, she worked as a dental assistant, a rural mail carrier, a phlebotomist technician, an OB technician assistant, a hospital surgery room secretary, and lastly a bookkeeper at Dixie High School in Due West. She was loved by the students and staff there and truly loved her job before she had to retire due to declining health. In her time at Dixie, it was an everyday occurrence of receiving her grandchildren along with many other children of staff at the end of the school day to care for them and bring them home.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Greenville Presbyterian Church.
