Born on November 16, 1942 to the late Lee and Gertrude Whitt Cothran, she was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her husband Joe Abrams of 63 years. Her family was her pride and joy. She devoted 28 years to the students of Greenwood School District 50 serving as secretary at Northside Middle School. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Ware Shoals and had attended Laurel Baptist Church, Greenwood for many years. Most of all she loved the Lord Jesus Christ. We can only imagine what it was like to see Jesus face to face. Pat was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School, Class of 1961.

Surviving are her husband, Joe, of the home, a son, Kenneth Preston Abrams (Melanie) of Simpsonville, two daughters, Melissa Huffman of Hickory Tavern and Sharon Witt (Mike) of Ware Shoals, two sisters, Olive Davis of Waterloo and Vivian McClellan (C.W.) of Ware Shoals, eight grandchildren, Lee Abrams, Katherine Abrams, Tyler Huffman (Kody), Justin Huffman, Tiffany Huffman (Jonathan), Joanna Martin (Danny), Katelyn Witt (Stevie), and Patrick Witt, two great-grandchildren, Emma Huffman and Ava Huffman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by four brothers, Otis Cothran, Joe Cothran, Alton Cothran, and Lee Cothran Jr., and four sisters, Lurleen Hellams, Betty Elledge, Ellen Boland, and Nancy Daniel.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve McGaha, Rev. Alex Henderson, and Rev. John Abrams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
