Born in Clinton, he was the son of Peggy Joyce Leroy Smith and the late Preston Carlton Smith. He was a dedicated member of Carswell Baptist Church in Iva S.C. where he served as a Deacon for nearly 20 years, as Treasurer, Head Usher, and Sunday school director. True to his loving and giving spirit, Jason saved 3 lives with his gift of organ donation.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Abbeville are: two sisters, Jennifer (Jimmie) Kinley of Abbeville and Lisa (Roger Skillman) Isbell of Anderson; nephews, Matthew (Sam) Isbell and Andrew Isbell; and nieces, Jocelyn Kinley and Ella Isbell.
Jason was preceded in death by his father; and his maternal grandparents, James and Eunice Leroy.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday March 12, 2025 at Carswell Baptist Church with Pastor Bud Rager and Preacher Hudson White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-3 P.M. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
