Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of Blanche Stephens Grant and the late Hubert Leroy Grant. She was twice married, first to the late Donnie Ray “Duck” Branyon. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church of Anderson and was retired from the Timken Company. A graduate of Dixie High School, she also earned an AA degree from Tri-County Tech.
Surviving are two sons, Donnie “Lenny” Branyon (Stacey) of Honea Path and Steven Grant Branyon of Honea Path, a step-son, Matt Walker of Washington, DC, a step-daughter, Mitzi Shearer of Greenville, two sisters, Judy Grant of Honea Path and Jan Grant Gullett (Donnie) of Muscle Shoals, AL, two grandchildren, Steven Colt Branyon and Elle Caroline Branyon, an aunt and uncle, Barbara and Jack Holcombe of Easley, a brother-in-law, Louie Branyon, ant two sister-in-laws, Brenda Picklesimer of Piedmont and Angie Grant of Honea Path, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Grant.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Silvey officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories, Belton.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path, prior to the service.
