Clyde Kirkpatrick

Donalds – James Clyde Kirkpatrick, 77, husband of Paullet Thompson Kirkpatrick, of Kirkpatrick Road, died Monday, January 6, 2025 at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood.

Born in Donalds, he was a son of the late James M. and Frances Elizabeth Poore Kirkpatrick. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and today he is sowing the fields of Heaven with his son Paul. He was a 1966 graduate of Dixie High School, and retired from Western Carolina Telephone of Abbeville after 30 years of service. He was a Veteran of the South Carolina Army National Guard and was a member of the Abbeville Cattlemen’s Association where he had won numerous awards for his quality hay.

Surviving are his wife, Paullet of the home, a daughter, Kristy Landmesser (Jason) of Greenwood, two sisters, Marian Eleazer of Irmo and Margaret Wilbanks of Greenwood, a granddaughter, Zaylee Landmesser, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, James Paul Kirkpatrick, and two brothers, John T. Kirkpatrick and James “Jimmy” Kirkpatrick.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church, Ware Shoals, with Rev. Greg Nix and Rev. David Little officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
