Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Cladie and Betty Nalley Harper. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired after 32 years from the Ware Shoals Water and Sewer Department. He loved Hot Rods and Drag Racing.
Surviving are a daughter, Dana Brown of Ware Shoals, three brothers, Billy Brown (Diane), David Brown (Billee), and Sidney Lee Brown all of Ware Shoals, two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Henley and Cindy Moore (Bill) both of Ware Shoals, and six grandchildren, Tyler Brown, Dalton Hawkins, Jadyn Price, and Sydney Brown, Lauren Greer, and Reagan Greer, and a great-grandson, Braxton Brown.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by a son, James Matthew Greer.
Funeral services will be held at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 2 PM with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop officiating.
