Born in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Jack T. Dixon and Barbara Eugenia Brooks. He was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and a graduate of McDuffie High School. He was also a dedicated employee of Duke Energy, where he retired after 39 years of service. Tony also earned an Associate’s Degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He loved his family dearly, and enjoyed grilling, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching westerns.
Mr. Brown is survived by his son Anthony Brown (Katie) of High Ridge, MO, his four daughters: Tonia Stichling (Marc) of High Ridge, MO, Nikki Wilson (Bryan) of Honea Path, Emily Wardlaw (Jeremy) of Honea Path and Katie Townsley (Connor) of Belton; nine grandchildren: Madi and Ella Stichling, Cora and Hays Brown, Charleigh and Wyatt Wilson, Olivia and Natalie Wardlaw and Loraine Townsley; and his Aunt Judy Culberson (Turk).
He was preceded in death by his brother Terry “Doc” Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Tuesday, prior to the service at the church.
