Marshall Lee Webster

Ware Shoals – Marshall Lee Webster, 81, of Edgewood Drive, husband of Tammy Sue Dutton Webster, departed the world for his heavenly home on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Born in Pell City, AL, he was a son of the late Alpha Lee and Sarah Ruth Rich Webster. He was twice married, first to the late Patricia Ann Hankins Webster. He was a beloved husband, father, friend and well known and long serving member of his community where he touched many lives. He was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church where he enjoyed playing the drums in the worship band, as well as serving as a deacon. He was a member of the Ware Shoals Fire Department where he served for many years as well as being the Fire Chief. Retired from AT&T after 42 years of service where he served many people and kept Families connected. He retired from his military service after 20 years in the National Guard. He served on the Ware Shoals town council and volunteered much of his time to the youth and the community where he was a mentor and coach for baseball, basketball, football and delivered meals on wheels to many in the community. He was an avid drag racer and enjoyed spending time with fellow racers and friends at the track.

Surviving are his wife, Tammy, of the home, three sons, Eric Webster of Ware Shoals and Bryan Webster of Ware Shoals, and John Patton, II of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Deidra Kovach (Ryan) of Myrtle Beach, two brothers, Mike Ensley of Pell City, AL, and Rickey Ensley of Gardendale, AL, ten grandchildren, Caleb, Kenny (Tori), Michael, Elijah, Jayden, Chassidy (Jacob), Emily, Zachary, Lauryn, and Daniel, III, and two great grandchildren, Grayson and Cayden.

He was predeceased by a son Phillip Chapman, a brother, Ronnie Ensley, and a sister, Judy Macon.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church with Rev. James Davis, III and Rev. Lamar Babb officiating. Interment officiated by Rev. Greg Nix with Military Honors and a Last Call will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

He will be remembered by many family and friends in Pell City Alabama a memorial service will be held there at a later date.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 PM at the church prior to the service.
