Vickie Cheshire Ashley

Honea Path – Victorlene “Vickie” Cheshire Ashley, 99, of Griffin Farm Road, widow of A. O. “Bill” Ashley, died on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Singleton and Barbara Allie Jones Cheshire. She was a long time member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church where she was active in the Choir, WMU, and teacher of Sunday School, Training Union, and GA’s. She attended Anderson Girls High School and was retired from Rice Mill of Belton.

Surviving are a son, Stan Ashley of Williamston, a daughter, Sandra Ashley Reid (Byron) of Belton, five grandchildren, Bryan (Michael), Kelly (George), Leslie, Dustin (Sarah), and Megan (Jacob), five great-grandchildren, Billy Joe (Bethany), Randi Lyhn (Brad), Gabriella (Michael), Campsen, Kaitlyn (Adam), and five great-great-grandchildren, Everett, Ryker, Bentley, Harper, and Elsie and a special nephew, Joey Lollis.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Lee, Ruben, and Spears Cheshire, and four sisters, Ethel Ashley, Annie Bell Kelly, Beauford Alewine, and Inez Ballard.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November, 18, 2024 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Krieger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Monday at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church prior to the service.
