Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late James Harley and Ruth Mae Lyda Green. She was a member of Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was retired from her work in textiles. She also volunteered and worked as a caregiver at the Maples.
Mrs. McKee is survived by her son Chuck (Donna) Gilmer of Belton, two brothers: Roger Green (Pat) of Honea Path and Rev. Sherrill Green (Gail) of Clinton; her sister Rachel Autry of Honea Path; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Rocky Gilmer and James Robert Gilmer; two daughters: Tammy and Tonya Gilmer; three brothers: Dallas Green, James Timothy Green and Gordon Green; and two sisters: Ester Watson and Mary Doris Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shane Elrod and Rev. Sherrill Green officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home, prior to the service.
