Paul “Jim-i” Lollis, Jr.

Donalds – Paul “Jim-i” Lollis, Jr., 87, widower of the late Linda May Phillips Lollis, of Honeyware Road, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

 

Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Paul Sr. and Addie Davis Lollis. He was a long time member of Broadmouth Baptist Church and retired from Timken. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War and was awarded the Sharpshooter medal. Mr. Lollis was a good and kindhearted man that loved his family and loved to piddle. If you knew him, he had a nickname for you. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving are; his son, Chris (Tracey) Lollis of Ware Shoals; four daughters, Paula (Danny) Ashley of Honea Path, Patricia (Danny) Deadwyler, Sherry (Robert) Busbee, and Peggy Sue Lollis all of Donalds; eight grandchildren; and ten great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Lollis was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, H.W. Lollis and Leon Lollis; and five sisters, Doris Allen, Sybil Phillips, Margaret Manley, Polly Lollis, and Jane Lou Richey.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper and Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Broadmouth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-3 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
