Born in Cooperstown, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late James Pierce and Daisy Mae Fisher Cairns. She was a member of South Pointe Baptist Church and retired as a housekeeper. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are: two sons, Arthur (Susan) Clark of Honea Path and Dean (Tonya) Clark of Aiken; her daughter, Kim (Tim) Pitts of Belton; thirteen grandchildren, Kalena (Fred) Gregory, Kamden (Stacey) Madden, Maegan (Jamie) Webb, Lauren (Mycal) Caudle, Brett (Ana) Clark, Jessica (Jordan) Clark, Kayla (Quinton) Jefferson, Angela Kwist, Will Clark, Eric Day, Trevor (Brittney) Tucker, Taley (James) Smoak and Cameron (Sarah) Tucker; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Ms. Clark was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Walter Cairns and Leonard Cairns; two sisters, Gladys Platania and Louise Winner; and a granddaughter, Faith Elizabeth Clark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday August 1, 2024 at South Pointe Baptist Church with Pastor David Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family is at home and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Thursday at the church prior to the service.
