Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Marsell and Frances Rebecca Pearson Shaw. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and retired from Anderson School District 2. Mrs. Guest was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for being a wonderful cook. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are: three daughters, Ann Fleming (Ronnie) of Honea Path, Lynn Smith of Honea Path, and Hilda Robertson (Mark) of Boiling Springs; four grandchildren, Jason Fleming (Shelli), Kristopher Fleming (Jodie), Dain Smith (Aubrey), and Talor Smith; five great-grandchildren, Dalton Fleming, Kaitlyn Fleming, Perry Smith, Bo Smith and Lula Smith; special nephew, Tommy Shaw; special niece, Patricia Sullivan; and special friend and caregiver, Linda Clarey.

Mrs. Guest was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers, Buck, David, Pete, Skeet, Bill and Red Shaw; and four sisters, Louise Malone, Alice Henderson, Mary Taylor, and Barbara Cooley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.

The family is at the home of her daughter Lynn, 602 Will Hanks Rd, Honea Path and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
