Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Harold Haynie and Gladys Bertha Timms Strickland. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and had attended Mt Bethel United Methodist Church. She was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation. She previously worked at Ware Shoals Dye and Print and Richloom. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved teaching Sunday school and loved her animals.
Surviving are: three daughters, Theresa (Eddie) Robinson of Laurens, Donna (Charles) Sullivan of Ware Shoals, and Chandra (Richard) Christian of Greenwood; her sister Carol Landers of Ware Shoals; six grandchildren, Jennifer Robinson, Joy (Devin) Curtis, Josh (Danielle) Sullivan, Nathan (Kayla) Wood, Kenny Christian, and Ty (Lexy) Christian; and eight great-grandchildren, Bo, Skylar, Kenzie, Kaylin, Klay, Ken, Jacie, and Wyatt.
Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Terry Wood; a grandchild, Wesley Robinson; and a great-grandchild, Lucas Wesley Curtis.
The family would like to express their love and appreciation for the “Angels” at Traditions Health Hospice, especially to Ebony, Dee, and Marie, for the exceptional care they provided.
Graveside services will be held at a 3 P.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Mr. Charles Sullivan and Mr. Nathan Wood officiating. Viewing will be held at the graveside Wednesday from 2:30 – 3 P.M. just prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes and will speak with friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
