Born in Annapolis, MD, she was a daughter of the late Roy Frederick and ThelmaMarie Mills Childs. She was a member of Henderson Baptist Church and was retired from Sams Club of Newport Richey, FL. She was a fan of Disney and loved traveling and crocheting.
Surviving are four daughters, Theresa Lohr (Nathan) of Hurricane, UT, Sheila Modica (Kevin) of Jacksonville, FL, Tammy Wallingford (Tina) of Jacksonville, FL, and Shannon Watson (Scott) of Ware Shoals, a brother, Fredrick Childs of Louisa County, VA, two sisters, Patsy Spinelli and Joanne Cole, both of Port St. Lucie, FL, nine grandchildren, Justin, Brian, Nichole, Nathaniel, Alexis, Caitlin, Brandon, Logan, and Keirsten, six great-grandchildren, Carlin, Hunter, Kandy, Mallachi, Cordyllia, and Ava.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother Roy Childs.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Henderson Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
