Wendy Wilson

Belton - Edwina “Wendy” Joy Ashley Wilson, 63, of Belton, died Tuesday, May 28 at her home.

Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of William "Billy" Henry Ashley and the late Betty Joyce Burton Ashley. She was of the Baptist Faith, and Served in the U.S. Army. Wendy graduated from Dixie High School, where she was a proud member of the Football Cheerleading Squad. She often introduced herself as “Wendy Partly Cloudy”.

Ms. Wilson is survived by her son Boyce Wilson (Allison) of Greenwood; two daughters: Robyn Smith (Mark) of Williamston and Dixie Ross (Stephen) of Honea Path; her brother William “Chuck” Ashley (Pam) of Summerville; her two sisters: Pam Griffin of Anderson and Angie Causley of Abbeville; and seven grandchildren: Baylee, Jakob, Gage, Cooper, Maddox, Trudy and Hayzen.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister Theresa Wilson.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
