Born in Dunn, NC, he was a son of the late Gethro and Civil Lee Brown. He was a member of the Christian Life Free Will Baptist Church of Thomasville, NC and was retired owner of Brown’s Flooring of Honea Path. He was the lead singer of the Rowdy Friends Band of Honea Path, an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife Roseanne, a son, Jesse James Brown (Robbie) of Honea Path, two daughters, Mariea Duran of Laurens and Teresa Popp of Acworth, GA, a sister Agnes Ammons (Roland) of Ellijay, GA, twelve grandchildren, Zach, Dakota, Seth, Colt, Stevie, Christel, Steven, David, Danny, Duane, Jessica, and Briana, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at his home. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Upstate Circle of Friends at www.ucfgreenville.org. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
