Born in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late Wilson and Gieneva Million Demery. He was of the Mormon Faith. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 12 years.
Surviving are: his son, Joseph Demery of Clinton; his daughter, Joann (Robert) Kay of Honea Path; his half sister, Alicia Davis of MI; three grandchildren, Dakota Chase Kay, Brandon Walter Demery and Anna Grace Elizabeth Demery; and special nephew, Trevor Davis of MI.
James was preceded in death by a half brother and his sister, Judy Ruth Demery.
