Born in Lynn, MA, he was a son of the late Leonard and Claudia Phillips Spaulding. He attended Southside Baptist Church and for years he was a member of First Congregational Church in Farmington NH. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a fun loving man, a beloved father and Grandfather. In his early adulthood, he worked in marinas doing boat repair and bodywork. Jim loved artwork and was a talented artist. He loved to draw pictures and paint murals. He also loved to hunt and fish in his younger days. He loved music and playing his harmonica. Jim loved his family. He always enjoyed traveling with them when their family was young, taking his children camping, to visit family and on vacations such as to Disney and Hershey Park. In his last years, he loved spending time driving around with his wife in his Porsche.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 37 years of the home are: his son, James Taylor "J.T." Philips Spaulding of Manchester, NH; his daughter, Elizabeth Erin Spaulding Wachowiak and her husband Mark Wachowiak Jr. of Milton, NH; three brothers, Richie, Ron, and Eddie; two sisters, Linda and Kelly; four grandchildren, Ryleigh, Lucas, Macy, Kameron; two special nieces Shawna Crosscup and her children Ashely and Tyler Bernier and Cindi Wright and her husband Tom and their son Tommy, and many other nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Dyar officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org
