Born in Abbeville on Christmas Day, 1955, Joy was a daughter of the late Horace and Lois Hall of Honea Path. She enjoyed fulfilling careers in industry, banking and most recently, over twenty years in management and operations at Rice Video Productions, Inc. of Greenwood. She was of the Baptist faith and was a graduate of Belton Honea Path High School Class of 1974.
She is survived by her family: husband, Fred “Butch” Moore, stepdaughter Janet Moore Balsiger (Mike) and step-granddaughter Julia Preston: one brother, Dennis Hall (Frances), one sister, Faye Bates (Norman Phillips) and their respective families.
Pallbears will be nephews, Michael Abrams, Rodney Bates, Kevin Hall, Kevin Gilmer, great-step-nephews Kris Gilmer and Kenny Webster and dear friend Art Youngblood.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 2 P.M. at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel in Honea Path. Rev. Mike Smith of Simpsonville United Methodist Church will officiate with special music provided by Hazen Bannister. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Honea Path.
The family is at the home, 314 Harvey Dr, Honea Path and will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. prior to service.
Colorful flowers will be welcomed to honor a beautiful lady. Yellow was Joy’s favorite color.
