Born in Murphy, N.C. she was a daughter of the late Claude Joseph and Helen Hickey Picklesimer. She was a member of Bethlehem Union Church and was retired from the O’Dell Corporation.
Surviving are two sons, Donald “Donnie” Bumgardner ( Kay) of Laurens and Patrick “Nicky” Bumgardner of Laurens, two daughters, Christie Newman (Jody) of Columbia and Joanna Bass of Rock Hill, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two sons, Howard Eugene Bumgardner and Kenneth Dean Bumgardner, four brothers, Ralph Picklesimer, Bill Picklesimer, Jack Picklesimer, and Spud Picklesimer, two sisters, Estella David and Judy Picklesimer and a grandson, Adam Ray Bumgardner,
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Betlehem Union Church with Rev. Danny Smith and Rev. Grady Lothridge officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
