Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late James Robert and Mary Frances Traynham Loftis. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Honea Path and was retired from her work as a Nurse at AnMed.
In addition to her husband of 53 years, Marlene is survived by her son Michael Corn and wife Betsy of Anderson, her daughter Allison Morrison and husband Jon of Belton, and eight grandchildren: Anna Corn, Ruthie Corn, Mary Beth Corn, Charlotte Corn, J.T. Corn, Zach Morrison, Samuel Morrison and Charlie Morrison.
Mrs. Corn was preceded in death by her brothers: Dennis and Robbie Loftis and her sister Connie Loftis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 1st at Pruitt Funeral Home with Butch Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.
