Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Noah Shuman and Mary Cathcart Kay. She was of the Baptist faith and a Ware Shoals High School graduate. She was retired from the USPS having worked at Honea Path and Ware Shoals.
Surviving are a son, Bobby “BJ” Prince, Jr. (Liz), a daughter, Julie Prince (Gerald), both of Ware Shoals, two brothers, Buddy Shuman (Diane) of Ninety Six and Keith Kay (Glenna) of Ware Shoals, six grandchildren, Bobby III, Brett (Melanie), Austin (Katie), Whitni (Jason), Jesse (Stephanie) and Ali and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-father, Alvin Kay and a sister, Millie Shuman.
Memorial services will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals with Rev. Mark Lowe and Rev. Keith Fields officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service.
