Born in Rock Hill, she was the daughter of the late Daniel L. Phillips, Jr., and Ann May Phillips. She was a member of Greenville Presbyterian Church in Donalds, SC. She spent many years working as an accountant, and in the decade before retiring, worked with her late husband at Samaritan’s Purse assisting with disaster relief. Dianne loved music and playing the piano, and she also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren and relished her time spent with them.
Surviving are: her son, Austin Gahagan of Donalds; her daughter, AsheLee (Anthony Alfano) Bonham Gahagan of Apex, NC; two brothers, Dan (Adelia) Phillips of Huntersville, NC and Rev. Charles (Suzan) Phillips of Isle of Palms, SC; and three grandchildren, Nathaniel, Andrew, and Austin.
Private family services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Greenville Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Phillips officiating.
The family will receive friends in the social hall of Greenville Presbyterian Church Sunday after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse at samaritanspurse.org
