Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Webster Leon and Carrie Frances King Davis. He was of the Baptist Faith. He received an AA degree from Piedmont Tech, and retired from Kemet of Fountain Inn and later worked for the Greenville County School Districts. He loved the outdoors, woodworking, scuba diving, bee keeping, gardening, and fishing.
Surviving are his wife Mary of the home, two sons, Brian Scott Davis (Kris) of Aiken and Barry Leon Davis (Marie) of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Angelia Michelle Davis of Jeffersonville, IN, a step-son, Andrew Allen Davis of Vienna, VA, stepdaughters, Sara Davis Mannino (Steve) of Southern Pines, NC and Barbara Sue Miller (Clint) of Greer, a brother, Kenneth Wayne Davis of Ware Shoals, a sister Sylvia Sue Herlong (Jim) of Greenwood, fifteen grandchildren, Kayla, Brittany, Alex, Connor, Amber, Rebecca, Caleigh, Kinsey, Kera, Jacob, Troy, Sophia, Nathan, Lane, and Tyler, and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
