Mrs. Gilmer was born in Honea Path to the late Donald And Mallie Cooley Moss. She was a member of Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was retired from her work at Huggins Garment Company.
She is survived by her nephews: Tommy Moss (Debbie) of Belton, Bill Moss Jr. (Peggy) of Honea Path and Pat Holland (Beth) of Anderson; her nieces: Ann Murdock (Danny) of Honea Path and Susan Keown (Brad) of Belton; and several great nephews and great nieces.
She was preceded in death by four brothers: Clyde, Jim, Bill and Charlie Moss; and two sisters: Ella Ruth Ramsey and Martha Holland. She was also preceded in death by her beloved fur-babies: Dusty, Thomas and Cappy.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to the staff at the Maples for all the meals delivered to Mrs. Gilmer over the years, especially Mark, Daniel, Ryan, and his children.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 29, at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shane Elrod officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery. Visitation will follow the graveside service at Eastview Cemetery.
