Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Clarence Douglas and Sybil Minnie Campbell McCoy. He was a member of Freewill Missionary Chapel, and worked in construction and masonry. He was formerly employed by Belton Bagging.
In addition to his wife of the home, Mr. McCoy is survived by his three sons: Teddy “T.J.” McCoy Jr. of Honea Path, Timmy Campbell of Donalds and Terry Campbell of the home; his four daughters: Krystal Townsend of Evans, GA, Kacee Phillips of Honea Path, Haley Eskew (Tony) of Honea Path and Angel McCoy of the home; his sixteen grandchildren: Whitley, Trinity, Travis, Navannah, Natalie, Isaac, Nevaeh, Kaitlin, Keira, Karleigh, Konner, Elijah, Mason, Tony and Clark.
He was preceded in death by his son Travis McCoy and his brothers Randy and Kenneth McCoy.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 17 at 2:30 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Brady officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
