Born in Anderson County on February 11, 1937, she was the oldest daughter of Haskell Woodrow and Lillie Blease Hannah. She is survived by her daughter Connie Smith (Tony) of Belton, and son Randy Cooley (Wanda) of Honea Path. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jeremy Cooley (Brittney), Tonya Hershman (Andrew), Hannah Morton (Joshua), Eastin Cooley, and four great-grandchildren: Grayson Cooley, Avery Cooley, Jake Cooley, and Greer Morton. She is also survived by her sister Mildred Campbell of Anderson and predeceased by her sister Lola Gambrell of Hodges.
Frances was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed family gatherings and spending time in the kitchen creating a delicious meal or baking cakes. She enjoyed reading cookbooks and trying new recipes. Frances served the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church in many ways such as singing in the choir, baking cakes, teaching the middle school boys and girls Sunday School class, and women’s ministries. She retired from Oxford of Belton where she worked as a seamstress.
The celebration of her life will be at Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church on Wednesday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial is planned for a later time.
