Born in Mooresville, NC, she was a daughter of the late John and Tennie Mayhaw. She was a member of Ware Shoals Church of God of Prophecy. She was a retired seamstress.
Surviving are a son, Gary Powell (Betty) of Hodges, a daughter, Betty Ashley of Hodges, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was pre-deceased by five brothers, James, Benton, Willis, Robert, and Ernest Small, a sister, Macie Small, and a grandson, Chris Ashley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Lowe and Rev. Susan Allen officiating. Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Johnnie Waller officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Sunday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service.
