Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of Linda Aliene Ashley Creel and the late Stanley Bruce Creel. She was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and Erskine College, where she earned a B.S. degree in Education. Teresa was a school teacher with Anderson School District #2 and had worked at BHP High School for the past 27 years. She dearly loved her students and wanted them all to be successful in life. All her co-workers were very dear to her heart also. Teresa loved grammar and encouraged her students to enjoy her love for reading. She will be dearly missed by her students, friends and family. Her grandchildren were the love and enjoyment of her life.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Williamston are: her son, Jonathan Wood of the home; her daughter, Alesa Crane of the home; her brother, Greg (Jennifer) Creel of Williamston; two sisters, Sherri (Charles) Yarborough of Fair Play and Anita (Roger) Mills of Pelzer; and four grandchildren, Ayden, Rose, Skyleigh and Hensleigh.
A visitation with friends and family to celebrate Teresa’s life will be held from 2-4 P.M. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path.
The family is at the home of her mother, 121 Autumn Drive. Williamston SC. A scholarship in Teresa’s name will be presented to a graduating student of BHP High School.
