Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Jack Pelham Sr. and Berneice Eugenia Dodson Jones. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was a raised in Ware Shoals and was a 1976 graduate of Ware Shoals High School. She received a BS in Psychology in August of 1979 from Lander College, a Master of Education in Counseling from Clemson University in August of 1982, and a BS in Nursing from Lander College in May of 1991. She was a founding member of the Mu Zeta Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Lander College. She was retired from Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital.
Janet had many loving family members and special friends. She served her community as a Registered Nurse for 30 years and served as a Nurse Manager and was a leader of her peers. She loved and cared for her kitty and dog friends all of her life.
She is survived by a nephew, Jack Pelham Jones, III of Greenwood.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her brother, Jack Pelham Jones, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals at 4 PM on Monday, September 11, 2023 with Mr. Calvin Gerald "Gerry" Partridge II officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 PM on Monday, September 11, 2023 prior to the services at Parker-White Funeral Home, Ware Shoals.
