Born in Missoula County, Montana, he was a son of the late Roland and Mildred Sias White. He retired as Sergeant in the U.S. Army after twenty years of service including two tours in Vietnam. He later received an AA degree in Engineering from Richland Tech and worked as plant engineer for Fruit of the Loom Plant in Lexington.
Surviving are a step-son, Dean Malone (Debbie) of Greenwood, a daughter, Heidelinde White King (Stephen) of Topeka, KS, and two step-daughters Laura Wilson (Michael) of Ware Shoals and Wanda Woodruff (David) of Newberry, a brother Eldon White of Missouri, and a sister Nadine Ross of California, fifteen grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and a step-daughter, Gail Malone Hudson, and a brother, Darole White.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Wicker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
