Born in Woodruff, she was a daughter of the late James Irby and Bertie Wilson Gwinn. She was the oldest member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church where she was active in the Choir, the Dorcas Sunday School Class, the ADY, and the WMU for many years. She was a 53 year member and Past Worthy Matron of the Boyd Bobo Chapter #144 O.E.S. A 1940 graduate of Ware Shoals High School, Mrs. Cobb worked at Riegel Textile Co. and retired from Pilgrim Curtain Co.

Surviving are three sons, James Louie “Buddy” Cobb (Joyce) of Ware Shoals, Calvin Bruce Cobb of McCormick, and John Robert “Bob” Cobb (Karen) of Donalds, two daughters Gwen Cobb Brocklehurst (Charles) of Laurens and Marsha Cobb of Ware Shoals, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a step mother, Gertrude Gwinn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Floyd Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Wednesday at the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church prior to the service.
