Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late John Clem and Eula Melle Ouzts Parkman. He was a member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his family, his beloved pets, and spending time in God’s creation. He was employed by TPI Engineering Systems of Bowdon, Ga. He was a 1974 Graduate of Greenwood High School, and received an AA degree from Piedmont Tech. He was a member and Past Chairman of the Abbeville County Planning Board. He was a private pilot and a member of the Honea Path Flying Club.

John is survived by his wife Patty of the home, a sister, Joyce Boone (Marion) of Greenwood and three nieces, Amy, Leigh, and Rachel.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Floyd Parker and Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the church prior to the service.
