Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Willie and Jessie Howard Lollis. He had attended Crossroads Fellowship Church and was a retired auto mechanic. Luther was an avid dirt track racer at Laurens County Speedway and was member of the Laurens County Dirt Track Hall of Fame.
Surviving are: a daughter, Kimberly Triana of Anderson; two brothers, O E Lollis of Honea Path and Jimmy (Linda) Lollis of GA; and a grandson, Kaleb Triana. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Lollis.
