Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of Beatrice Broome Lackey and the late John Carol Lackey. She had worked at Chiquola Mills and Mt Vernon Mills. Debbi’s world revolved around her grandchildren and her husband and soulmate, David.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 39 years of the home and her mother of Belton are: two daughters, Lindsay Mason (Justin McClain) and Carli (Justin) Canupp, both of Belton; two brothers, Tommy Lackey of Belton and Fred (Jennifer) Lackey of Starr; and six grandchildren, Haliegrace Mason, Jayden Mason, Madilynn Mason, Bayleigh Canupp, LeeAnn Canupp and Levi Canupp; and her beloved puppies, Charlie and Belle.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 -2 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at JDRF.org or to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
