Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Lucia Hawkins Jones. She was a faithful member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, where she was a Sunday School teacher, member of the church choir, church singer, and music department treasurer. She was a graduate of the Honea Path High School.
Surviving are: her daughter, Malinda (Matthew) Grubb of Belton, a brother; Jerry Jones of Belton, three sisters, Jane Long (twin) of Iva, Linda Cooley and Peggy Jones of Belton, two grandchildren, Jerron Holloway and Charity (David) Rochester, and four great-grandchildren and one due soon. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 48 years, one brother, Jimmy Jones, and four sister, Etrulia Ownbey, Mary Ann Davis, Faye Jones, and Dianne Rodriguez.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop E. Howard Steen and Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home of sister Peggy Jones and will receive friends from 1 – 3pm Tuesday at Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.
