She was born in Anderson County, to the late Henry Grady Holland and Mary Lou Bolt. She attended Honea Path Schools. She was retired from Chiquola Mills after 46 years. She was an active member of Honea Path First Baptist Church as long as her health would allow.
She was the devoted wife tof the late Paul Bradley “Buck” Ashley for 60 years. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and siblings, Aleatha Couch, Frances Holland, Annie Gambrell, Henry Wesley “Jack” Holland, Grady Ray Holland, and Dennis Ralph Holland. She was also predeceased by a great-grandson, Evan Glenn Davis.
Survivors include two sons: Tommy Paul Ashley (Donna) of Honea Path and Danny Gene Ashley (Donna) of Donalds, five grandchildren, Rustie Davis (Lindsay), Ruth Holland Moon (Brian), Paul Ashley (Jennifer), Richard Ashley (Lindsay), Casey Ashley (Kenzie), ten great-grandchildren; Lydia Moon, Grace Davis, Will Moon, Reese Davis, Kaden Davis, Norah Ashley, Troy Ashley, Quinn Ashley, Lawton Ashley, and Sadie Layne Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Rev. Richard Ashley and Rev. Mike Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 on Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Honea Path First Baptist Church, 100 S. Main St., Honea Path, SC 29654 or to the charity of one’s choice.
