Born on February 14, 1937 in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Arthur Davis and the late Onie Lollis Davis Todd. He attended Honea Path First Assembly of God and retired from the Fiber Division of BASF – Anderson after 24 years of service. Mr. Davis was a jack of all trades and could work on anything. He especially loved farming and working on his tractors.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 68 years of the home are: his son, Ronnie (Angie) Davis of Honea Path; his daughter, Cheri (Charlie) Banister of Honea Path; a sister, Martha Cole of Anderson; grandchildren, Chad Davis of Greenwood, Kristin (Les) Poole of Honea Path, Amy (Kevin) Lusk of Honea Path, Tiffany (Blake) Lowe of Honea Path, Kelsey (Landon) Epps of Belton; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Allan Davis, Furman Davis, R.M. Davis, Pelham Davis, Jimmy Davis, and Marvin Davis; and his sisters, Gertrude Meredith, Ollie Getsinger, Corine Harper, Dorothy Meredith, Lee Cox, Hester Klinskey, and Alma Tedder.
Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Bob Koenigsmann and Rev. Homer Gilmer officiating.
