Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Prue and Rossie Clinkscales Taylor. She was a faithful member of Keowee Baptist Church and was retired from her work at Torrington.
Surviving are her son Dennis Ray Burton (Sandy) of Honea Path; three daughters: Donna Brock (Rickey), Wanda Jones (James) and Janice Horne (Michael), all of Honea Path; seven grandchildren: Gatlin Burton (Krystal), Bryson Burton, Shannon VanPelt(Sammy), Amber Childers (Jonathan), Matraca Shaw (Blake), Makayla Ashley (McKinsey), and Kaleb Horne; and twelve great-grand children.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers: Bobby and Major Taylor; and two sisters: Marjorie Elliot and Sara Ellen Gambrell and a grandson, Travis Ashley.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday March 5 at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Lee and Rev. Jonathan Childers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Wanda Jones and will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home in Honea Path.
