Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Thomas Jackson and LE Moss Hodges. He was a member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church where he was serving as Chairman of the Deacons. He was retired from Michelin Tire Proving Grounds in Laurens and was a member of the Belton Gun Club.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Martin Hodges of the home, a son, Joshua Shane Hodges (Amanda) of Hodges, two daughters, Trixie Gail Madory (Scott) of Summerville and Leah Dyal (Kevin) of Ware Shoals, a sister Betty Strawhorn (Pete) of Hodges, and six grandchildren, Thomas, Lila, Andrew, Silas, Chase, and Selleck.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Floyd Parker and Rev. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church’s Building or Benevolence fund, Box 449, Ware Shoals, SC 29692.
