Born in Binalonan Philippines, she was a daughter of the late Saturnino Basanes and Teodora Ganigan dela Cruz Libag. She was a faithful member of Honea Path First Assembly of God and was a homemaker. Rose held a Masters Degree in Home Economics.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of the home are; her son, Harter Gilmer of Anderson; her daughter, Stani (Lee) Day of Lexington; three grandchildren, Julian Gilmer, Adeline Day and Eliza Day; two brothers, Eugeno D. Libag and Jessie D. Libag, Sr.; and two sisters, Corazon D. Libag and Guillerma L. Ramos.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Candido D. Libag and Rodolfo D. Libag; and three sisters, Encarnacion L. Livara, Cecilia L. Ganigan, and Fe L. Olayvar.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Honea Path First Assembly of God with Rev. Bob Sandler and Rev. Bob Koenigsmann officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home.
