Born in Royston, GA, he was a son Marie Evelyn Adams Broadwell and the late James Monroe Broadwell. He was retired after over 30 years from Milliken, where he worked as a Loom Technician. He was a high school basketball star and a sports enthusiast, and loved college basketball and football. He also loved animals and the outdoors, and was lovingly known as “Pappy” by his grandkids.
Mr. Broadwell is survived by his mother Evelyn Broadwell of Honea Path, his son Matt Broadwell and wife Jenna of Honea Path, his daughter Sandy Robinson and husband Al of Honea Path, his brother Richard Keith Broadwell and wife Jane of Honea Path, his sister Susan Short of Greenville, and his three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
