Born in Columbia S.C., he was a son of Martha Marilyn Crews (Eugene) Biernaski and the late Francis Joseph Rawlinson, Sr. He was a member of Greene Street United Methodist Church in Columbia and was retired from Southeastern Freight Lines after 48 years of service. Rick loved riding his Harley and fishing with his grandson. He had formerly played semi-professional football.
Surviving in addition to his mother and step-father of Chapin are: his daughter, Kay (Zack) Walters of Seneca; his beloved grandson, Weston Walters; his former spouse, Linda R. of Seneca; his brother, Kevin (Cindy) Rawlinson of Lexington; two step-brothers, Bruce Biernaski of Irmo and Douglas Biernaski of Gaston; a step-sister, Diana Jordan of Chapin; his best friend, Steve Braswell of Glade Valley N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandmother, Mamie H. Crews.
A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date.
