Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Jesse Gene and Margaret Eugenia Ashley Gambrell. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Due West and was a retired Public Safety Officer at Patrick B. Harris Hospital. Ronnie also previously served as a Police Officer for the city of Belton. He was an avid gardener and loved raising goats.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home are: two daughters, April (Austin) Taylor of Belton and Katie (Patrick) Davis of Honea Path; his beloved grandson, Asher Brantley Davis; and many Aunts and Uncles who loved him.
Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Richard Ashley and Rev. Kyle Antone officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to New Hope Baptist Church of Due West, Hwy 184, Due West, SC 29638 or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd, Anderson, SC 29621.
