Born in Abbeville County, she was the daughter of the late Riley Paschal and Rose Ella Hall Gambrell. She was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church, where she loved the Lord and her church family. Patsy retired from Milliken.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: four sons, Donnie (Paula) McClain, Danny (Michelle) Mitchell, Kelly (Tonya) Mitchell, all of Honea Path, and Nathan (Lindsey) McClain of Belton; ten grandchildren, Brandon McClain, Anna Grace Mitchell, Houston Mitchell, Dorian Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, Alex Mitchell, Kaden McClain, Roslyn McClain, Cashlyn McClain, and Chandler Mitchell; and two great-grandchildren.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Samuel Jeffrey McClain, and her brother, Donnie “Hambone” Gambrell.
The family sends their love and appreciation to Veronica Walker and her staff, who cared for and loved Patsy, and she loved them.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Crossroads Fellowship Church with Rev. Paul Cooper and Rev. Rickey Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories. Face masks are recommended and please follow social distancing guidelines.
