Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Otto and Willie Ann Qualls Henderson. She was a member of West Main St. Church of God where she had served as choir director for 46 years, was leader of the Senior Citizens, and had taught Sunday School for many years. She was the retired owner of Ruth’s Beauti-Rama.
Surviving are a son, Ron Weathers (Daphne) of Winston Salem, NC, a daughter, Patty Chapman of Anderson, four brothers, Mark Henderson and Dennis Henderson, both of Ware Shoals, Gerald Henderson of Taylors, and Jim Henderson of Polk City, FL, four grandchildren, Jeffrey Weathers, Lindsey Weathers, Kim Ledet (Judd), and Clay Chapman (Laura), and four great-grandchildren, Greyson and Chase Chapman, and Emma and Austin Ledet.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Audrey Griffin and Frances Knight, and a brother, Truman Henderson.
A private family service will be held at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Dye officiating. The service will be available online at a later date.
